Sort of get the ...Yeah, the ending is a bit abrupt. Sort of get the feeling that they just wanted to get the cover out there and didn't put so much focus into really expanding on it. I'm not complaining though.

Agalloch - Heard only bits and pieces. I don't really listen to that much Black Metal and the stuff I do hear from time to time isn't usually from Portland, Oregon. I've seen some good reviews for their new record so i'll probably check it out.Chaosbeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03754686206981663043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26443520.post-1157345194948941122006-09-04T00:46:00.000-04:002006-09-04T00:46:00.000-04:00That's a pretty spot-on & punishing cover version ...That's a pretty spot-on & punishing cover version there. The sped-up meltdown ending is OK, but I hoping for a final flourish to cap it off.The Mulehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05173496638219487968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26443520.post-1157301549222789662006-09-03T12:39:00.000-04:002006-09-03T12:39:00.000-04:00I can't fault him for the clarity. I'll have to listen to more death metal before I can make a call like that I suppose.

Speaking of listening to more metal, I want to give the new Agalloch a listen-through next week. Are you familiar with the band (I'm betting you are).#_#https://www.blogger.com/profile/12128749491383682997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26443520.post-1157293616688872392006-09-03T10:26:00.000-04:002006-09-03T10:26:00.000-04:00Uh oh, you might be showing your age a bit my frie...Uh oh, you might be showing your age a bit my friend. Tough to argue with a band that's been around for twenty years covering a legendary song that was released twenty years ago.
One of the things I like about Vader is Peter's, well, un-stereotypical vocals. It's the clarity.
Vader covers Slayer - watchout.Chaosbeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03754686206981663043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26443520.post-1157247671585270092006-09-02T21:41:00.000-04:002006-09-02T21:41:00.000-04:00The riffs in this song are intense. Your take?#_#https://www.blogger.com/profile/12128749491383682997noreply@blogger.com
